Umi Falafel Cork

I've walked past this place lots of times but somehow never went in until yesterday. Very impressed. It's not exactly haute cuisine but in a country where good value eats are increasingly hard to find, you have to give five stars to a place where a tasty main plus a drink is €9. Good options for vegetarians. Oh and the slightly spicy chips (fries) are delicious. Think it's Halal too.

They were pretty busy when I went but I asked for no tomatoes in the wrap and then I somehow was given tomatoes and got no chips? Paid full price for it too... Staff were really stressed and the drinks came really late... Nice food though!

Stopped by for lunch and had the Palestinian Falafel sandwich with lentil soup. Was delicious, fresh and wholesome. This was a meal deal that included coffee also. Umi is my favourite place in Cork for lunch, I am not a vegetarian but you would not miss anything meat based while in Umi. Would recommend the couscous salad also as a side when ordering a sandwich.

I tried a lot of the dishes and just can't get enough. Incredible bursts of flavours with most of the dishes.The staff are very friendly and the place is very clean. Fantastic value for money. I can't wait to return.
