Established in 1966, we have been making and baking breads, buns and cakes of the highest quality in Mitchell street, Clonmel.

"If its not broken, then why fix it?" That\'s our motto. We are a family run, 2nd generation traditional bakery serving Clonmel and its surrounding area since 1966. And since what we do has been working for such a long time we believe that the basics needs not change. We are ever mindful of our customers needs and wants and adapt accordingly when needed. Starting back in 1966 under the passion for high quality breads and confectionery that William and Vera Hewitt possessed. They built up a loyal customer base and many of these families are still customers today. After expanding the bakery from the original shop in the late 90\'s to a vacant unit directly behind the current shop they saw a gap in the market for a relaxed kitchen-style coffee shop. After retiring in 2010 the bakery and coffee shop stayed a family business and continued on by us, Conor and Catriona Hewitt who are just as dedicated and committed to high quality hand made breads and confectionery. The business has gone from strength to strength even in these difficult times thanks to hard work, dedication and of course our loyal customers. They know what proper baking with proper ingredients is which is why the business has been operation for 47 years (which, lets face it, is not an easy task!!) Word of mouth and customer dedication keeps the show on the road. When you walk into the Home Bakery you are greeted with not only the delicious aroma of freshly baked goods but also the huge array of 45 different types of buns and also homemade breads, sausage rolls, quiches and of course, our renowned fresh cream selection of cakes. We believe in the motto "If its not broken, then why fix it?" which is why we are still providing traditional baked goods but also expanding to accommodate new customers and new trends that every business is faced with. After recently adding a range of homemade quiches we have also been supplying a light lunch offering. These include our hugely popular Sweet Chilli Chicken wrap, toasted BLT, delicious ciabattas and a range of individual sandwiches and homemade soup.
