Had Sunday lunch in the newly renovated Harvest and it was the best.
We will have to go back for coffee and dessert.
Staff were so helpful @

Meat roasted to perfection. Surprised by how reasonable prices are here. Full home cooked roasted dinner for €13. Everything tasted perfectly seasoned and fresh. I can’t wait to return here.

What a selection for a carvery! The food was absolutely gorgeous!! I've never seen so much selection for a carvery before. I'd come back all the way just for the food. Portions were massive too, i couldnt eat it all, wish i had of gottwn the last to go. Please open a cafe in Drogheda!!! The server Kate went above and beyond when my mam had a bit of a problem she was so so lovely! Absolutely fabulous cafe, will definately be back!! Recommend to everyone who loves a good hearty delicious meal

I love coming here for lunch every time I’m in Athlone. The service is always quick, food is always perfect & the menu is right above the servers for everyone to see(also at the entrance & by the till as you walk in).
I’ve been here twice this week, once for the soup & sandwich & once for the roast. Both times the food has been excellent.

Safe to say you won’t find a place in athlone with more options than the Harvest. Between the hot carvery, salad bar / soup & sambo deals you’ll be sure to get something for you! Really friendly staff and you’re recognized if you become regular. Etha is always an absolute pleasure to have serve you. Overflow is great when open.

It has been 10 years since our last visit to Athlone and I must admit it was just as we remembered. The people, places and food were excellent. This was best displayed on our visit once again to the Harvest cafe. The coffee and desserts we had were delicious and the service was excellent. The three ladies who we met on this day Louise,Kate and Irina best looked after us very well. Excellent , keep up the good work.

This place manages to deliver that authentic home-made taste and friendly service in a busy, fast paced environment. Jaime (I was sure to ask her name) pulled out all the stops when it came to offering me some Vegetarian choices that didn't include the obligatory stir-fry or curry! What was supposed to be a quick bite to eat turned into a lovely lunch, a sweet treat and a guarantee to come back again. Well done to the team in Harvest Cafe :)

Out for lunch in Athlone, we decided to try this place. They have a bakery at the front and the restaurant at the back. We had a very good meal, and all was reasonably priced. Food was fresh and tasty. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Great selection of food. I’m gluten intolerant and it was brilliant that you had gluten free cake etc to accommodate for people like me! The lady was very kind and heated up a gluten free brownie for me and added cream. The interior is very nice it’s a really quiet atmosphere, lovely calming colours and not too much noise. However I would say that the cakes etc out on display should be covered because I did see quite a few flies on them which did put me off a bit.

This place is within a town centre two floor shopping centre. We’ve been here before and I think it was for a snack.
We took the coffee & scone deal this time at just over €4 a head. The deal allowed a range of scones with butter in foil, cream and jam in mini plastic pot.
What it didn’t allow was to opt for a cappuccino or latte - americano only. It was an ok deal with darn good coffee and good but not great scones. Irish butter and cream are fabulous, the scones were good portioned but the jam was the cheaper stuff. They should offer local supplier jams.
I had walked through the diner first with a view to a main meal and saw that it was almost school canteen style with the mains food choices kept in Bain Marie trays and it just put me off as once I see this I find I only get lukewarm, usually overcooked, food.
It was a queue and pay system. So there wasn’t much staff interaction. I ordered, paid and brought our food to the table. We sat at a table outside the cafe in the centre concourse and a minute walk from M&S and it was a pleasant way to while away an hour or at least au whiled away an hour while my wife did some more shopping.
